( Dan with a fat Trout taken on artificial)

February is here and it seems like it is flying by! This month is great for Snapper, Sheepshead, Margate, Pompano, Trout, and Redfish. They can be taken on a combination of live an dead-baits fishing near the bottom, in-between passing fronts! Shrimp is a personal favorite, but for the larger fish use mullet and or Pilchards. A good rule of thumb is bigger bait= bigger fish. Its not always the case but it works the majority of the time. So don't delay call today and learn how to fish the river with a pro, Capt. Jonathan @ 772 341 2274. Tight Lines all~

January Report

(Pictured above- Capt Jonathan with a plump Pompano from a days outing on the Indian River.)

January is an interesting month, will it be warm or will it be cold? When its cold expect the Bluefish, Trout, Pompano, Ladyfish, and Macerel to bite with much ferocity. When the bite warms up expect an intense feeding frenzy from river monsters like Snook, Jacks, Trout, Redfish, and Flounder. Its a win-win either way and I love fishing this month because I tend to target my favorite species, the Pompano! Goofy jigs work wonders on them and they catch all different species so be ready for lots of by-catch too! So call today and book an outdoor adventure with Capt Jonathan aboard Chaos Charters, 772 341 2274.
