Well its September and the start of fall already, wow, time is really flying by! Offshore- Swordfishing has been amazing at night some fish upwards of 300lbs. Inshore- The mullet run seems to be making an impressive showing early this year. Lots of Snook, Trout, sharks, Reds, and the Bombing Jack Crevelles are all crashing the big mullet schools. But the fishing never been better. Permit are in large schools off the beaches and wrecks along with sharks, Cobia, and Dolpin further off-shore. In-shore Trout, Reds, Snook, Flounder, and a few Pompano are biting amazingly well. While fishing with client Dan and his 2 sons today we caught a few Trout, Bluefish, Pinfish, and Catfish. We also had a few really nice fish takes but lost them to the river... We tried a mix of live bait and artificials. The DOA Cal was working quiet nicely for Trout and Pinfish. Pictured above is Dan with his nice Trout taken on a DOA. We almost took a swim today numerous times because it was a blowing. 25- 30 mph gusts on the river but the fish were still biting. So get up, get the phone, and get in contact. A fishing adventures awaiting you....

November Report

I hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving and caught lots of fish! This month was excellent for Flounder, Pompano, Trout, and Spanish Mackeral. Pompano Have been biting on the Sailfish Flats somewhat consistently with lots of jacks, catfish, and ladyfish mixed in as well. Flounder will be biting this month an next extremely well at the sebastain inlet. So, if you can make the trip up there it will be well worth your efforts. A few 8-10 lbers are being caught with the average fish ranging 14-22 inches about 2-6 lbs. Remember its 10 per person and minimum size limit of 12". Spanish Mackeral are starting to show up in decent numbers at Pecks Lake, so when the seas start to lay down shoot over there for plenty of fish biting action!( Pictured above Joe with a Pompano caught on the sailfish flats thanksgiving day weekend.)

Well its October an the only thing better than Halloween this month is the annual Mullet Run!! Pods of these baits are flooding through out the intercoastal and getting devoured by anything an everything in sight! Jacks, Snook, Trout, Tarpon, Redfish, Flounder and more are all feasting heavily on these fish. Night time seems to be the best fishing local bridges as the mullet are being forced through with the tides and are getting destroyed by Hundreds of Snooks. Just listen for the popping, its my favorite nighttime sound at any local bridge! While these freezing temps aren't exactly great for fishing, this will stimulate the fishing for other species into feeding such as: Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, Pompano, Flounder, Trout and Redfish. We have caught a few nice Snook this month but the freezing temps have caused a lot of these fish to lay lethargically on the bottom but hopefully when season opens they will be eager to eat and the weather will be a little warmer. This month the fishes of choice will be Pompano, Flounder, Trout, and Redfish. Call today and lets go fishing!

December Fishing Report

Wow, its December already! The first thing that comes to mind is Mackerel, Mackerel, and more Mackerel. If the conditions allow running along the beach shorelines for those Spanish Macks will be your best bet. Anything flashly will get there attention, just remember to reel fast and use wire leaders! Pompano, Bonefish, Trout, Snook, reds, Flounder, Ladyfish, Jacks, and more will me roaming the flats later in the day and into the early evenings with cooler water temperatures this month. My personal favorites for this month will be one of the three; Pompano, Trout, and Flounder. These three love the cold weather and are amazing table fair as well!! Now with November here I look forward to eating Turkey and stuffed Flounder. Fishing this month should be excellent for quite a few of my favorite species. Snook, Trout, Pompano, Jacks, Ladyfish, and my personal favorite FLOUNDER! These bottom feeders will be throughout the river in Jensen and Stuart. I also plan on making a few trips up to Sebastian this month for the annual Flounder run. Usually right around Thanksgiving is when I load up on these tasty critters. Last year several fish were caught over 7 lbs. Let me know if interested as it is only 50 min haul from Jensen Beach and I cant wait! Fishing at night for Snook this month should be excellent between fronts too. Trout will be on the flats waiting to ambush jerkbaits, topwaters, DOA Baitbusters, and more. Mixed in the bag will be Catfish, Jacks, Ladyfish and Pompano. As we get closer to December the Pompano fishing will improve with colder water temperatures. Tarpon and snook will be targets of choice, with both species available around the inlets and bridges in the rivers. Night fishing for Snook and Tarpon is an excellent activity during this month. Bluefish, jacks, ladyfish, and Spanish Mackeral are also chasing the mullet schools. Trout, snook and redfish are up on the flats feeding, along with very tasty flounder. Tarpon 20lbs or more are abundant in the St. Lucie River. Just rember to check the tides before you go, certain phases of the tide can yield more fish, its a little bit of knowledge and a lot of luck.
